Holy riceballs, they did it!?! They even nearly reached 830k ?!??! That´s just amazing!!
"Keep Skullgirls growing":
For all those who don´t know what it´s all about: Lab Zero Games put up a fundraising-campain on indiegogo.com since they´re going to release their game on Steam, but also wanted to add additional content (f.e. more playable characters) and were lacking a bit on capital for it. As you can see on the site, the actual goal was 150k (for character "Squigly" only), every bonus fund would add some more goodies to the DLC. The thing became viral quickly and the funds were growing dramatically, giving the team more and more options to add and improve their work and giving away nice content such as Soundtrack, Beta-access, Artwork, etc...
What they did right during this campain:
- sticking close to their fans
- (by) keeping their supporters and fans up to date with newsletters of what they´re working on; showing what they´re doing and how they´re doing it (+ interviews, livestreams, etc.)
-interacting with other bigger groups/communities to get more attention (f.e. EVO2013, Zone-Archive, Mane6, etc.)
[especially ingenious move: offering the Skullgirls-engine to the Mane6 team if the fund reaches 725k. Lemme explain that:
MLP fans love Mane6 for their work on "Fighting is Magic" -> Hasbro prohibited Mane6 to publish the game -> Mane6 reworks the game and could use a nice engine -> Lab Zero Games offers their engine if people add funds to Skullgirls -> MLP-fans are well-known donators -> win-win situation]
*clap clap* well played, Lab Zero Games, well played.
Other news:
Oh jolly, Bioshock Infinite is finally out; and it seems to be as good and bombastic as they always promised. But to be honest: the Modern Warfare 3-effect got me again, or in other words, the "I-got-so-many-infos,-pictures-and-videos-about-this-game-in-the-past-6-months-that-I-don´t-want-to-see-it-anymore"-effect. I think I´ll give it a try after half a year or something like that, when it´s on a low-price on Steam. Don´t get me wrong, the game is incredibly awesome, but I just got overfed with infos about it that I´m currently just glad that it´s finally released.

Everybody knows the old question "What would you prefer? Ninjas or Pirates?"
Assassins Creed 4. "A pirate, trained by assassins." Ugh... nope
Probably the longest and most expensive Jack Daniels commercial you´ve ever seen. Maybe they´ve overdone it a bit? x)

And as always, for reading through all this, here are the goodies:

And I´ve found a very well made drawn short-movie about dragons, knights, princesses and a dramatic, well written story.
