Munich. Rome. Thatīs where Iīve been in the last 2 months.
Currently armed with gallons of tea and honey, Iīm recovering from my (super-awesome!) trips since I got a bit sick now...no wonder, itīs as frosty cold as in Novosibirsk outside
Iīm not really into fighting games (except the Smash Bros series, but some ppl say "nah, thatīs no real fighting game", other say "it iiz!!", yadda yadda) but this year (and also last year), two games caught my attention: "Fighting is Magic", the fanmade My Little Pony-based project which looks really neat and "Skull Girls", which has such an impressive style, characters, ideas and music that I couldnīt resist giving it a closer look.
Sadly, since "Fighting is Magic" was using original characters of the series, it got shut down by Hasbro shortly before the developers, Mane6, were able to release it. Theyīre currently now asking kindly if they still can somehow release it (since it was a good deal of work) and waiting for reactions from Hasbro, but things arenīt looking that well. Still, Lauren Faust (I think "lead producer" of the new MLP-series at the beginning, no?) even offered to draw some non-related characters for the team, so thereīs hope for the fans.
Also MLP-related: I comissioned
over half a year ago to make my OC Rambleflank in her style and this is came out [link]
She apologized several times for the long time waiting for it, but it was worth it. It looks nice, nah? :>
Anyways, talking about "Skull Girls" (which has actually been released on 10th of April 2012 [but only for XBox and Playstation]): thereīs going to be a PC version of it (fuck yeh). And not only that, itīs even going to be published on Steam [link]
(double fuck yeh
This one here is old, but if anyone asks how my html/php lessons look like in college, our professor is beyond awesome. BEYOND AWESOME. We actually learn a lot there, since these memes always get our attention back :3 Here an example of one of our lectures about PHP [link]
(a lot of people said "blabla, what a bad professor, thatīs not how you teach PHP blabla", but as already said: we actually learned a lot here, he did a damn good job)
Oh, and till recently Iīve been watching "The amazing world of gumball" since Iīm fond of creative animated series and good ideas. Still, Iīve had enough for now, the main character is also a bit too hysterical from time to time, but maybe Iīm just getting too old for this stuff
ALSO: if youīre a fan of the Thief-series or System Shock 2 (as I am): two extremely neat patches appeared out of nowhere (on sept.2012, still, people were going nuts about it), pimping the whole game to the max (comparing it with itīs old graphics) [link]
Link to the patches and the guy who found em can be found here [link]
Ah, and PS4 has been announced yesterday. Hmyeh, already looking nice, but I still prefer PC as a gaming platform.
Also, go and watch Django, itīs nice.
And as always, since youīve been reading so nicely through this, have some internet bullshit:
If youīre surfing on the internet a little bit more than an ordinary mortal, you may have noticed that thereīs currently this Harlem Shake-meme going on. Itīs mostly one guy/girl in a crowd dancing to the start of Baauer - Harlem Shake, and when the drop is coming, suddenly everyone in the scene is going nuts and dancing. Somehow like this:[link]
I think I just found my fav [link]
(7 mio views in 4 days, not bad huh?)
Hereīs an italian doom mod which just makes no sense, but is extremely entertaining (and unnecessarily violent). And a letīs player who doesnīt know what to say, but laughs his ass off
WARNING: CONTAINS EXTREMELY EXCESSIVE VIOLENCE. Donīt watch it if youīre not at least 16 (well, at least I said it)[link]
Also, I recently discovered the tunes of a guy called "Savant" (which actually seems to be a savant irl). NICE electronic music if you ask me. Hereīs a music video about tiny sock thiefs and hunting kittens[link]
Thanks for reading again and ramble on, folks!
